Launching

Everything on the launch form, and what it turns into on chain.

01Trading fee

The fee the pool charges on every trade, pinned into the pool at launch — this one really cannot be changed afterwards. Ekubo takes any fee, so the four presets are conventions rather than a menu: 1% is what most memecoins use; 0.3% and 0.05% suit something meant to trade more like a normal asset; 5% is a toll booth. The launchpad's owner bounds it between 0.01% and 10%.

You keep 70% of it. Ekubo takes nothing out of a pool's fee, so 1% × 70% is 0.7% of every trade, with nothing hidden in the number.

02Your fees

Where your 70% goes. You keep them pays your share out to your wallet — or to any address you nominate: a multisig, a treasury, a splitter. Buyback and burn spends your share buying the coin back in its own pool and destroys it, so supply falls instead. Both are settings on the fee vault rather than on the pool, so you can change your mind later without relaunching.

03Coin details and links

Name, symbol, an image, a description and up to three links. The image and links are written into the token's own metadata_uri as a data: URI, so they travel with the coin rather than living on a page someone has to keep up. The image itself is pinned to IPFS and referenced by content address, which is recoverable by anyone if this project ever disappears.

04Pair asset

The coin yours will trade against. Pick from the catalogue or paste any address; the registry is asked live and the form tells you why if the coin does not qualify. See Pair assets.

The opening market cap is fixed at $5,000, converted into the pair asset at its live price. It is not a field because it should not be a decision: the same number typed against BROTHER and against ETH is seven orders of magnitude apart, and nobody typing it is thinking in BROTHER.

05Dev buy

Buy the first coins yourself, inside the launch transaction. The pool is created, seeded and bought from in one call, so nobody trades before you — not a sniper, not a bot.

Pay in STRK and it is swapped for the pair asset at the best rate across Starknet's venues first, inside the same transaction; if the pair asset is STRK, it is simply spent. Or pay in the pair asset directly if you already hold it. Either way it is one wallet prompt: a Starknet account signs the swap, the approvals and the launch as a single multicall.

The launch reverts if the buy returns less than 70% of the opening-price estimate, so a buy too large for the pool fails outright rather than filling badly.

06The launch fee

A flat fee in STRK, pulled from your wallet by the launchpad — Starknet has no msg.value, so the fee is an approval and a transfer like any other. The amount is read live from the contract and shown in the summary. It is capped in code.

07What happens on chain

launch() validates the config, asks the registry whether the pair asset is eligible, takes the fee, deploys the token, opens the pool one tick spacing outside your range, hands the float to the vault, which seeds the position inside an Ekubo lock, records everything, emits Launched and LaunchMetadata, and finally runs the dev buy if you asked for one. If any step fails, nothing happened: the token, the pool and the position all exist or none of them does.
